“Mina... Mina, please answer!” Yunhyeong cried into the phone. He was surrounded by empty cans of beer around his bed. It was a little over 2AM and the only source of light in his room came from his phone and the laptop on his desk. At least he closed the curtains. Yunhyeong has been drinking tonight. Just a few hours ago he was still sitting behind his desk, searching for information about whatever the hell the presentation is going to be about, he couldn't remember it now. Three hours had passed by the time he had realised it was time for a break. Except he had no idea what he was supposed to do other than keep on working on the presentation.  That's when it hit him. He's been so busy with college, with assignments and projects that he stopped doing what any other person would be doing in the time they were free; because truth to be said, Yunhyeong wasn't free. He was always taking notes during lectures, studying while eating, showering while repeating necessary information and working behind his desk. He would send his loved ones a few texts throughout the day, maybe receive a call from his mother once in a while or greet his friends during shared lectures. Yunhyeong felt lost, he didn't even realise the tears threatening to spill. It's been a while since he has felt a wave of sadness drown him.  He took slow steps to the kitchen, taking out a can of beer. Maybe that would get his mind of things for a while. But a can of beer soon turned into two, three, four, five, six... Somewhere along the way he lost count. All he knew was that he wasn't sober.  He began drinking thinking that it would replace his sadness, which it did somehow, but now he was needy. In need of affection. He remembered how much he missed hanging out with his friends, how much he missed going on dates with Mina. Mina. He really missed her. Mina and he have known each other for three years by now. They first met at their shared dance classes. She was the new girl who had just transferred from Japan. For a year the two of them remained as close friends, until they started acknowledging their feelings building up for each other.  It's been two months since they last were together for longer than ten minutes. It's been two months since he last watched her perform ballet. Two months since he last visited her during practice.  He grabbed his phone and dialed her number. No answer. He tried again, and again, and again, not bothering to watch the clock that had hit 2AM just minutes ago. He texted her multiple times, called her even more until his fingers gave up and let the phone fall on bed with him. Soon he, too, fell on bed with his whole body. And within seconds he had fallen asleep.
