Mixture of No one’s and Kyuhyun’s Pov   There we sat, our bodies glues to the only chairs in this room, a table was all that separated us as it was in the middle of the two chairs. The room was cold and dimly lighted; our breaths could be seen from each exhale. We looked at each other, examining our faces for a good few minutes. He was young but clearly older than me. This was my first time being here but it wasn’t anything new for him or so I heard from the guards talking before I came in.  “How long have you been here?” This place was no place for chit chat coming from the current condition they were in but who knows, this might be the last time I talk to a human being before everything gets destroyed. I knew he didn’t look the type to talk much but I had to give it a go, to ease the tension. He was scared, he might die in a few minutes and either of them will be dead. All he knew was that one was definitely going to die, who it was, it was all down to luck.  “5 years.” Kyuhyun’s breathing hitched. It had only been a year since he first came here, his first game, the first time he was forced to bet. However for the person in front of him, it was a different case, it was most likely his 5th time here and… he has yet to lose… he had never lost a battle and there was a high chance he wasn’t going to lose this one.  “What’s your name?”  “Changmin.” Changmin, Changmin. I let his name roll around in my head for a while to get use to such a foreign name but it was a nice name.“I suggest you stop asking stupid questions, Kyuhyun.” Being the newest addition to this ‘game’ had its ups and downs. It meant everyone knew you, being the newbie and it also meant you got taken the best out of everyone. Coming for the normal way of living to something so dark was a huge transformation that no human could adapt to so quickly. They worked their way up to down in these places. The more deaths, the more fun the games were. Surviving the longest was nothing to be proud of; they preferred if you died as quick as possible. For Changmin to be here for so long, he must be one of the oldest and most hated. However, he was one of the luckiest. He himself was only 18 years old, Changmin must be older. The gun had been sitting in front of us, the middle of the table for some time. Usually one ‘game’ would last a matter for minutes, or so you think but there had been some lasting over an hour or more depending on the players, some might not want to die just yet. Well, a bit more than some I would say.  “H-how many games have you been in?” Changmin sighed, he was clearly getting annoyed at my questioning but I was afraid, I needed something or someone to distract me. Changmin could see it and lifted his hand up, running it through his hair.  “20, I’ve been in 20 games.” My estimate had been way off. He had been in way more than I had anticipated. I was surprised, how could he have lived through so many?  “WHAT?! How?” I looked up at him shocked. Another sigh came from his lips.  “After the first 5 times, they were desperate to get me killed fast. They kept entering me into games but I always ended up winning. Who knows, this might finally be my last.” Finally? He was one of those who wanted to die. There was no one way killing one’s self outside a game. They would take away anything sharp and monitor you 24/7 inside your room in case anyone was to take out the fun of killing themselves before entering a game. At least, that way, they knew that why were definitely going to die rather than having a 50/50 chance of it happening. His words echoed in my head. Who knows, this might finally be my last. He says. Don’t say that… so half-heartedly…   “Don’t say that… so half-heartedly…” My voice was quiet; I looked down at the table.  “What?” He asked, he couldn’t hear what Kyuhyun was saying.  “Don’t say that so half-heartedly!” I said a bit louder than before. This time Changmin heard it and Kyuhyun was sure of it. The other looked at him in shock before going back to his usual poker face. He was surprised, never in his life had anyone been worried about him to have shouted at him for saying things like death so easily. He didn’t care if he died; he just wanted to be free, free from this prison.  “I’m sorry…” Changmin whispered, he didn’t want to hurt the only person who seemed normal in this prison. If he were to die now, he wouldn’t mind that much now that he thought about it. The room went silent as Changmin never said anything, Kyuhyun was getting anxious again. It had already been a good 20 minutes since their game had begun but there was no need to end it so quickly.  “How was it…that you got here?”  “Same as the others and yourself, walking down the street on a normal day until a van stopped next to me and shoved me in a van.” Kyuhyun’s face turned away from the other. He closed his eyes, the images of that day a year ago came to mind. No matter how many times he punched and kicked, the strange men didn’t loosen their grip on Kyuhyun. He ended up losing consciousness in the van, when he woke up; he was already in a strange room with cameras everywhere. The light blinked red, they were getting restless. They wanted the show to go on. It was time. One of them was going to die tonight.  “It’s time… they really want to see someone die don’t they?” Kyuhyun chuckled lightly trying to ease the tension. Kyuhyun reached for the gun, his hand was shaking badly. He rested his hand on the gun, Changmin could see he was scared and extended his hand out, resting it on top of Kyuhyun’s.  “Take a breath, take it deep. Calm yourself.” He looked into Kyuhyun’s eyes. Kyuhyun nodded his head as he swallowed his saliva. He closed his eyes, taking in a deep, long breath and exhaled. It seemed to help as he felt his mind clearer. Changmin slipped his hand underneath Kyuhyun’s and took the guns from him. He gave a smile to the other while Kyuhyun sat there, stunned.“I’ll do it.” He brought the gun over to him a turned the bullet compartment on the gun. Kyuhyun stared at it as it came to a halt. Changmin brought the gun to his head and pulled the trigger.  Click!  There was no bullet. They had a 1/6 chance of getting hit, one was gone, there was 5 chances left. Changmin put the gun down on the table and pushed it towards Kyuhyun. For a second he stared at it. He could feel his heart beating rapidly and slowly lifted his hand to the gun, taking it from the table. He brought it up to his head and closed his eyes, pulling the trigger.  Click!  It was yet another empty compartment. Kyuhyun didn’t even realise he was holding in his breath until be exhaled. He put the gun on the table right in the middle. He looked up to see Changmin staring back at him.  “Are you really that scared?” Kyuhyun shook his head, he lied. Changmin gave a light chuckle, a sound Kyuhyun kept in his mind. He made sure not to forget such a thing, he didn’t want to. Changmin knew he was lying; it had only been Kyuhyun’s first time in the games. When he first came here, he was exactly the same.He took the gun and one again brought it up to his head.  Click!  Changmin put the gun down and looked up at the clock; it was already 35 minutes into the game. It should be ending soon, there was only a limited amount of compartments in the gun and anytime soon, one of them were going to have the bullet lodged into their brain.Kyuhyun went over to grab the gun again. It was his turn. His forehead was sweating; his heart was once again pounding. He grabbed onto it but was stopped when Changmin grabbed his hand.  “Count to three, you can close your eyes if you want or you can look at me. I’ve heard it helps sometimes if you’re really nervous.”  “Thanks…” Kyuhyun nodded his head. Changmin smiled and retracted his hand. Kyuhyun brought the gun over to him, he looked at it and his hand was still shaking. He looked straight up and Changmin, finding comfort in the other’s dark brown eyes.1…2…3… his eyes never left Changmin’s.  Click!  Changmin stared at Kyuhyun and gave him another smile. It was their 4th shot. 4/6, 2 more tries left. It was either him or Changmin who was going to die next. His heart was reacing at an alarming rate. He found the younger intriguing and wanted to know more about him but he knew that one of them wouldn’t come out this room alive. He would rather be the one who died so Kyuhyun could live a bit longer. He just hoped that Kyuhyun would live a bit better than him when he was there, maybe later, Kyuhyun would join him in where ever they were to be sent to after death. He took the gun and looked at Kyuhyun in the eyes. Don’t turn away… He mouthed to Kyuhyun. He wanted him to witness him in life and death, being the last thing he saw before he died. He was so sure someone up there must really love him if he were to die now with Kyuhyun by his side.  “Goodbye.” The brought the gun to his head and pulled the trigger.  BAM!  The sound of the gunshot blasted the room. Kyuhyun’s body jumped before it froze solid. Changmin’s blood had splatted on the wall opposite and his body fell forward, his blood pooling on the table. It was as if he knew he was going to die. Kyuhyun’s heart raced as he kept looking at the dead body that was alive a mere second ago; still talking to him, still breathing but no more. No   “NO! NOO! NOOO!” Kyuhyun jumped up, tears ran down his face as he quickly ran over to Changmin. He grabbed onto the dead man and clutched his head to his chest on the floor. His white shirt was now painted red in his friend’s blood. He felt his heart die a little. The man he just knew was also the first death he witnessed. Living in this prison for a year, it was only the first time Kyuhyun had known the young man, being forced and locked up in this room as they start to play a ‘game’. He regretted he never went outside his room before, maybe he would have known Changmin a bit better. But this was all for the better. The less he knew about people, the less pain he would endure if he were to survive the next round. For his sake, he really wished he wouldn’t.  “Get up! The game has ended; you must go back to your room now.” Kyuhyun was about to stand up, leaving Changmin body on the floor when he spotted a shiny object around Changmin’s object. He didn’t see it before because his shirt was covering it. He lifted the dead man’s shirt and took the necklace. It was of a silver pair of wings. Before the guard could take him away, he quickly took Changmin’s necklace off and brought it to his neck.  “May you fly high and fly out of this prison. Soon, I hope to join you.” The guard pulled him up and forced him over to the door. Kyuhyun turned around to look at Changmin’s body on the floor. He never realised it before but he was smiling.  “Thank you for being my last game, Kyuhyun.” This was finally his last game, after 20 times of trying; his 21st deemed him luckiest out of all.        OMG! AFF HAS CHANGED! They finally have a word count on the side! YES~~!! So happy~~ :D :D :D And so useful! I'm sorry to those who wanted Changmin and Kyuhyun to, I don't know, use that one bullet to escape this so called prision but it wasn't going to work and we all know that! I had a hard time chosing who to kill and since I seem to like killing Kyuhyun off, I chose Changmin for this one xD If any of you are asking, it was inspired by Rihanna's Russian Roulette :D  Comments and Subscribes will be treasured and loved <3 Alicevalliere~
