- Taehyung's POV –I stared at the floor of Jin's truck. We had a nice day together besides the bad news, as we were driving back to the company he fell silent once more.I noticed him turn off from the normal route back to the company. Startled, I turned to him, his face was straight and serene. 'Where are we going?' 'She might be home this time.' He said calmly. 'You heard what the doctor said, I don't remember anything.''There where’s you're wrong,' he laughed, 'I know you still like her, somewhere deep down inside you still have those same feelings for her. I mean, dude, the carnival? I saw how you acted around her.' The carnival. 'I do remember her, but not everything. Not the important things, it's still like we had just met. I don't want to rush anything, please Jin, let's just go back.' I pleaded, it just didn't feel right. He shook his head and forced a smile. 'Jin, let's go!' I said, louder. He just shook his head and kept driving. 'Jin!' I reached over and grabbed the steering wheel, the truck jolted, Jin yanked my arm away and pulled the truck back on course.'Don't!' He yelled and held his hand forcefully on my chest. He pulled up to the side of the road and turned to me with fury in his eyes, 'You could've killed us! Are you asking for a death wish?!' He yelled, but I wasn't looking at him. I furrowed my eyebrows at the sight before me. Jin noticed I wasn't paying attention to his scolding and followed where my eyes were locked. 'Is that.....her?' I asked, my bottom lip quivered. Jin lowered his eyes and put his hands back on the wheel, 'Yeah.'He pulled out from the side of the road and sped back to the company building. The image of her, and what looked to be her new boyfriend, stuck in my mind. She was happy. Happy without me.- Jin's POV –I gritted my teeth hard as I sat on the couch in the dorm. I stared at the static TV and listened to it buzz. It drowned out the clinking of cutlery and plates in the kitchen, Namjoon and Jungkook had been shuffling around half eaten boxes and bags of junk food, trying to find something they could cook for dinner but with no luck.Taehyung was in his room probably bawling or thinking too much. I was thinking too much as well. I just couldn't believe that after all this she goes off with another guy, I didn't want it to end like this, it couldn't. 'What happened?' Yoongi asked as he walked into the living room. 'Taehyung saw something he didn't want to see.' I answered, I didn't look at him.'Then why are you upset?' He asked and leaned on the couch. 'I didn't want to see it either.' I got up and walked towards the door, I could feel his eyes burning my back. 'Where are you going?' Namjoon asked as he stepped out of the kitchen, 'are you going to get food?' I could tell by his voice that he was grinning like a child.'Pizza?' Jungkook beamed and ran out of the kitchen in a rush, catching me and pitching in a food idea before I left. I sighed and stopped in my tracks, just before the door. I didn't want to get them food, I just wanted to go for a walk to clear my mind. 'Yeah sure,' I turned around and grabbed my wallet before stuffing it into my big coat pocket, 'text me what you guys want.'I closed the door behind me and heard loud cheers, 'Saranghae Jin-hyung!' Jungkooks voice yelled through the dense door. It made me smile. As I entered the cold I shivered and pulled out my truck keys, feeling my phone vibrate immensely.I laughed internally at the thought of them all yelling at each other and naming foods they wanted, I noticed it was only Namjoon texting me, so he was probably getting an earful of what everyone wanted. I unlocked my truck and got in, turning up the radio to hear my own voice.Sometimes hearing my own voice made me cringe. I laughed and turned it down a little bit. I didn't know where I was going, it wasn't super late but it wasn't early either, it was 7:30pm. The reason why I went out was to get my mind off Seulgi but she was all I could think about, I think I cared more about her than Taehyung did at this very moment. As I drove through the city I found myself on route to her neighborhood without realizing, I stopped my track where I was and pulled over. I leaned back in my seat and exhaled loudly. What are you doing Kim Seokjin? I stared at her contact profile on my phone debating whether I should call her or not, it had been a while and we couldn't just throw our friendship away.I dialed her number and pulled my phone to my ear, waiting for her to answer. The same voicemail played. She hadn't changed it. That had to mean something, right? I hung up without leaving her a message before throwing my phone on the passenger’s seat and restarting my truck. She would always answer. I pulled my truck back onto the road and was once again on route to Seulgi's neighborhood. I turned the heat up and kept the radio low.Despite the season coming into spring it was still quite cold, I heard the ice crunch beneath the tires of my truck, it was building up again. I continued my way to the turn off to her neighborhood, it was a small community with wide spaced houses surrounded by fences, security cameras, saunas and spas. Rich area. The playground at the end of the street stuck out like a sore thumb, it was old but it wasn't entirely new, no children played there. We would always hang out there when we could, just her and I, before she started dating Taehyung.'Can I ask you something?' I said to her as we sat on the swing set and swayed with every push of the wind. She smiled up at me, 'You just did.' 'Can I ask you another one then?' 'You just did it again!' She laughed and lightly punched my arm, I scratched the invisible itch on the back of my head and awkwardly laughed. 'Well I'm going to ask you a question.' I stated.'Go on.' She smiled and stared off down the road as she pushed herself on the swing. A ball caught my throat and messed with my words. I wanted to ask her an important question, a question that would change our friendship, a question that would either make or break what we have together. But I couldn't say it, although I wanted to.'Well? What's your question?' She giggled and looked up at me. I sighed and watched my icy breath leave my mouth. 'What’s wrong?' She stopped swinging and looked me worryingly in the eye. 'Nothing,' I exhaled, 'it's nothing.' 'Okay then, you've used up all your questions by asking if you can ask me a question anyway.' She laughed and stood up, extending her hand to me.I shook my head away from that memory. Nothing had changed. I still felt the same, she didn't know, I never told her, neither did I tell Taehyung or any of the others. They couldn't know. I drove past her house, the front door lights were on but other than that the house was dark, her parents’ cars were still there but their visitors were gone.I didn't want to just go in so I slowly drove to the end of the street, thinking about that damn moment where I almost ruined everything. My truck came to a stop and I parked on the side of the road near the park, I glared at the swing set before noticing two figures walking towards the park out of the corner of my eye. It was Seulgi and the guy Taehyung and I saw her with at her house. She didn't see me or my truck, but if she did she would've noticed it was me. I opened my truck door and got out, they sat on the swing facing the forest which extended from the edge of the playground, their backs were to me. I exhaled deeply and walked towards them, there was an extra seat next to her on the swing. Should I? He stood up and gave her a light push before sitting back down on the swing next to her.'Thank you,' she said as she looked at him, 'for coming tonight. We haven't had people over for the whole two years living here.' The boys and I had been over for dinner? 'You don't have to thank me,' he beamed, 'my parents aren't the party type but I know they had a good time, and....my parents like you, Seulgi.' She laughed softly and looked away, 'My parents like you too.' She smiled up at him. 'Seulgi.' I interrupted, I didn't want to but I was already a meter away from them.'Jin!' She said as she stood up in surprise, 'why are you here? How long have you been here for?' She stuttered.'I saw you and thought I would say hi.' I smiled. The guy stood up and broadened his shoulders, almost to make me feel intimidated. 'Hello, I'm Park Taesung, and you are?' He began. Taesung? Seriously? 'Kim Seokjin, or just call me Jin.' I nodded with a closed mouth smile. 'Uh, he's my friend.' Seulgi said as she looked at Taesung.'It's nice to meet you, Jin, any friend of Seulgi's is a friend of mi-' 'We aren't friends, Taesung, and we never will be.' I said with a harsh tone. He looked at me confused with growing anger. 'Jin, please.' Seulgi pleaded as she walked towards me with raised arms. I couldn't believe how stupid she was being. 'I texted you, I tried to call you,' I began and stepped back, 'He remembers you, he remembers his feelings for you and you know that.''Then why isn't he here?' 'Because he's scared, and because he saw you with him.' I spat. 'I don't know what's going on or why this I happening but it needs to stop.' Taesung said as he stepped between Seulgi and I. 'This will only end when you're out of the picture.' I stated, it was true. 'Are you threatening me?' Taesung said with a raised eyebrow, he was taller than me and, although I hate to admit, bulkier and obviously stronger than me but I wasn't going to stop.'Maybe I am.' I challenged, he stepped back and rolled his eyes. 'Jin, stop.' Seulgi sighed. 'No, this isn't going to stop. I mean seriously? You cut us off and go get a new boyfriend?' 'That's not what happened-' 'That’s exactly what happened! His name is Taesung, Tae-sung! Are you fu-' 'Stop!' She yelled, her voice echoed through the icy trees.I stepped back and stared at the ground, releasing a long smoke of breath. 'That’s not what happened.' She whimpered, her voice broke and I could tell she was now crying. 'Seulgi.' Taesung whispered and hugged her. I pulled away from the circle and walked back to my truck in a huff. Seulgi and Taesung watched as I drove away.He had his arm around her and held the side of her face. I guess it was safe to say they were dating, but I couldn't tell Taehyung. It would break him. I just kept driving, I wasn't going back to the company building, I was far from it. I just wanted to get away from everything to think clearly and calm my anger. My phone began to ring, I glanced at it.Incoming call: Namjoon. Dammit, I still have to get the boys food. I spun the truck around and performed a hard, and illegal U-turn. I picked up my phone and read the boys food orders before heading to the store. Today had been a tough day, finding out the news about Taehyung, then finding out about Seulgi's new boy Taesung. I still thought that was stupid. She still liked Taehyung, he still has a chance, whereas I never had a chance to begin with. I was always just bound to be a friend.- Seulgi's POV –I sat in my room once again. Ever since the accident it was all I seemed to do, then I started letting go and getting out more, but I was back in that same mind set, torn between two equally good choices. How could he just barge in unannounced and without warning?Well I guess I was the one to blame for that, I didn't answer his call. I knew he was calling but I ignored him, stupid. I kept telling myself it was over and I was done with it all, but every single damn time I tried to leave something always dragged me back into the never ending dark pit what was formally known as mine and Taehyung's relationship.
