Shit, shit, shit, shit! Kai exclaimed mentality, sending a bunch of profanities to the rest of the pack. The little girl from his childhood, the epitome of his dream girl was standing right in front of him, eyes wide with something like amazement and shock all intertwined with other emotions. It probably was too overwhelming, for the next second when she met his gaze, she passed out.Another train of swear words left his mouth while the rest of his pack were bewildered. Some were left astounded, some were shocked and some were panicking. D.O, his chocolate brown self stepped forward, carefully maneuvering his way to the passed out girl, Suho and Kris right beside him. Of course they’d be first to react sanely; they were the straight headed ones for God’s sake! Kai himself was rooted into his spot, too confused and shocked to move a muscle. He’d imagined meeting her again for more than a decade, but he hadn’t even in his wildest dreams imagined a meeting like this. A meeting with her. Hera.Kai, get your head straight and come help, Kris commanded. That made him move a step forward, changing into a regular boy. In a blink, he was crouching next to D.O who had his hand on her wrist, checking her pulse. All of them had changed into their normal self by then and had surrounded the Alphas and D.O to get a good look at the girl.“Wow, she’s pretty,” Sehun whistled as ducked to get a crouching spot near Kris.“Really pretty,” Chen echoed, his eyes zeroing on her face.Kris and Suho sighed simultaneously. There was no hormone controlling with these guys. Lay, on the other hand though, did not bother with any of the pleasantries the younger ones shared. He placed a hand on her forehead, checking her temperature when D.O spoke up.“Her heartbeat is uneven, but she’s breathing perfectly fine,” he said.“Her temperature is okay too, but she seems to be weak,” Lay added. One shared look with each other and they exclaimed, “Let’s get her home okay?”Kai was the first to move. The man with less words, he walked feet away, shifting into his russet brown wolf as the others hoisted Hera’s body onto his back. Of course they knew about it. They read minds as easily as a human could read a book. The others shifted immediately and they all took off, arriving at the cottage they all lived in. It wasn’t much, just enough to hold 12 wolves in. Kris shifted first and held Hera, while Kai and the others followed suit. Taking her from one of his Alphas, Kai carried the girl to the couch, where he placed her oh-so-softly and sat by her side on the floor, watching her face change due to her dreaming self.“Hyung, how do you think she will react when she sees we are guys who change into beasts?” he muttered to D.O who walked over. The latter, probably the only one who understood Kai the most, slung his arm over Kai’s shoulder in a comforting manner. But it wasn’t him who responded.Xiumin walked by, covering Hera’s body with a blanket. “For someone who has an unsteady heart, I don’t think she’ll take that well.” His remark was blunt, like he usually was. Grim and frank was the way Xiumin lived. He wasn’t one to suck up and say pretty words, and that moment was no exception.“Then how do we…” Baekhyun started obviously confused as how to put words together. Clearing his throat, he resumed. “Then what do we tell her?”“If we change in front of her, it’s most probably she’ll end up having a heart attack the moment she sees it,” Luhan pondered, joining the group of the already enlarging group of bystanders.“And I think the reaction would be the same if she wakes up with 12 wolves surrounding her,” Chen finished.“Not likely,” Kris spoke up. 10 heads turned towards him. He was standing the furthest away, leaning against the patio. Kai agreed though. He knew where Kris was going with that comment.“If you’d seen her expression when we came, you wouldn’t exactly say she was scared,” Kris continued. By then, Kai started getting excited.“She was… fascinated,” Kai spoke for the first time since they’d seen her. 11 pair of eyes scrutinized him.“No really. If she finds out we’re werewolves, she’ll die the minute she knows. But if she wakes up with us being wolves, the chances that she dies is probably 1%,” he concluded with a wide grin.“Are you on drugs?” Sehun muttered, throwing a weird look at Kai who ignored him.“Kai ge-ge has a point,” Tao spoke. Tao? Agreeing to something sane? Well, that was a first. “I don’t really think I’d wanna see the pretty mei-mei upset or even… dead.”Way to go Tao, Kai thought to himself. Along with Tao’s agreement, the Alphas nodded their approval as well, and soon most of them had agreed. Hera’s beauty worked magic on the tough guys, he snickered.“Sehun, I’m starting to agree to what you said about Kai taking drugs,” Chanyeol said, a crease between his brows.“Hyung, I don’t think you’d wanna go there,” Kai muttered, a dangerous glint in his eyes. Chanyeol gulped and walked off, muttering something about sugar.“So let’s all shift and go back outside,” Kris interrupted, refraining from slapping both their heads.“Oh, and pretend you’re animals for a change,” Suho added, the second to follow to get out of the circle.Hera twitched in her sleep, dreaming about flying so fast she felt like her skin was about to peel off. Why was she going this fast? And most importantly, why was she running even? A crease appeared in her eyebrows and she twitched again. It’s about time she stopped. Her will to stop running increased by the second, and she opened her eyes. The first thing she noticed was that she wasn’t even in her house. Oh, yeah. She had gone exploring and she’d screamed in wonder. And then wolves appeared. Right. Wolves. That was probably an overactive imagination. How she ended up in this house, she’d never know. Feeling a bit disoriented, she got up from the couch and decided to go back out. At first, it was a bit dizzying to walk around, but soon enough, she was under control. She walked past couches, strewn chairs with clothes messily hung over. Was this person who lived here always this messy? She shook her head and walked towards the door and as soon as she stepped out, she refrained herself from exclaiming a fascinated yelp.12 wolves lazed around, some playing with each other, some sleeping. As a child, Hera had always loved animals, the only exception being reptiles. However, the smile that crept to her face couldn’t be hidden.“Wow,” she mused, her eyes widening at the beautiful creatures. They were all differently colored; her artist eyes identifying the colors as absolutely inhumane. They were not made- hell, no amount of rich and expensive paints could created those shades they all came with-, yet, on them, it seemed so natural. However, the impressive thing was, some had a completely off set color that trailed from their head down to their trail. One had rainbow colors down to his bottom as if he’d purposely dyed it that way to stand out. Her eyes zeroed in on the russet colored one, the one she remembered since she was a child, the one with electric blue eyes and her grin widened.A white wolf, one with orange-pink fur running down his back to his tail was the first to approach Hera. Unconsciously, she stretched her hand to pet the animal who cowered in fear. Her smile didn’t falter though. Instead, she was more encouraged.“Don’t worry, I won’t bite,” she comforted, refraining herself from grimacing at the irony. That seemed to comfort the pretty wolf though, for he leaned forward and ducked his head, his fur scratching her palm in the most comforting way. It was smoother than carpets and cat fur, softer than velvet and probably richer than silk.“You know, carpet makers could definitely use your skin as an example of smoothness,” she muttered more to herself than to the wolf who grinned a toothy grin as he licked her palm.“I’d say ‘ew’, but it’s okay, since I like you,” she chuckled, earning herself a little growl which she took as a wolf version of a laugh. Soon enough though, almost all of them had joined the orange-pinkish wolf and her. All, except for the russet colored-blue eyed one. They’d all warmed up to her, obviously not taking her as food, but that one was the aloof one, clearly one who wasn’t part of social groups. Her smile dropped a centimeter, but regaining it, she extended it and said, “You don’t wanna be my friend?”Hera as a child was the loner, liking it when she kept to herself, after all who would be friends with the emo one? Animal lover, she had always had a tendency to have pets, loving them as siblings. So she wouldn’t be surprised if this one saw her as weird. He barked, shaking his head. It was either ‘No, I want to be your friend’ or ‘Yes, I do not want to be your friend. Lowering her hand, she shrugged, choosing not to be bothered by a mere wolf. But the sadness couldn’t be hidden from her face as she resumed petting and scratching the wolves that surrounded her. It’s okay, it’s okay, she chanted in her head. But it was hard to sink in the fact that one meeting from their childhood could be so impactful when it came to approaching each other later on.She was in the middle of naming them according to her choices, when she remembered her bag. She remembered dropping her lovely pack of Oreos, but her bag was probably somewhere near the bark she’d stood on.“My bag,” she gasped, standing up, trying to find her way through gigantic wolves. The only black one in the pack looked at one whose fur was a stormy gray with a nod who dashed off somewhere in the woods. One with a dark shade of grey pushed her down gently, his paw resting on her thigh. Another one with the color of soft butter approached her further, sneaking his tongue out to lick her. Giggling, she scratched him between the ears as he twitched with glee. The stormy wolf soon skipped into the yard though, her bag safely tucked between his teeth. He brought it over and placed it by her foot, stretching himself so that he lay on his behind for a reward. A pat on the head was definite. But Hera knew he wanted more. So rummaging through her backpack, she found another pack of Oreos which she opened and popped into his mouth. This time, the wolf was ecstatic, somersaulting around as he shook his tail, munching on the yumminess.“Yeah, I love it too, except I do not to that,” Hera remarked, giggling. Glancing up at the horizon, she noticed dark was coming soon so she said, “I need to go home.” She didn’t know why she said it with a big voice. Probably she hoped they understood her. They did.The big black one got on his fours, offering her his back, which from movies she knew she was supposed to get on. Grabbing his fur like a leash with one hand, she waved goodbye to the rest of the visibly upset wolves.“Maybe, I’ll come tomorrow,” she pondered, waving at everyone. “And it’s really tempting to touch you,” she said to the russet colored wolf as she passed by.Soon enough though, she was flying through the woods, her hair whipping in every direction, the speed and wind making her squint her watery eyes. It was fun though. Better than roller coasters. It was a matter of seconds when they arrived in front of the hanok. Grateful, she stepped down and gave the big black wolf a pat on the back."I'll see you tomorrow.... Jake," she said, naming the wolf some random name that popped in her head. She caught him shaking his head and chuckled. "I'll think about another one tomorrow." With that, she walked into the yard, towards her room, unlocking the door, only to look back and wave at the gone animal. Well, she did have to think of names.  Hello!!!!!!So... this chappie isn't that great. But nothing was great.but here it is anyways. If you had to name the wolves, what would you name them??Comment what you think!! <3Love,AlyChae
