6 | Realm of Dreams (1/1)
His sweet melodious voice and all those words I have longed to hear were being whispered right before my ears. I swear, it felt as if he was just standing behind me with lips brushing against my earlobes. Is my mind playing tricks on me? I can’t help but close my eyes and savour every moment, trying to grasp and keep a vivid memory of it both in my mind and heart. I feel too damn happy yet I can’t push towards the back of my mind the thought that this is just a mere mirage. A mirage that my whole being has been dying to have a taste ever since nobody knows when. I grimaced at the thought.“What’s wrong? Don’t you like what you hear?” my eyes flickered open and searched for the owner of the voice. It was a blonde young looking man. He looks like an angel especially with his all-white outfit. His golden brown tousled hair complimenting his soft and angelic features. He had his head tilted to the side with a concerned look splashed all over his face yet he still looks as jaw-dropping as anyone could ever be.“Oh, I’m sorry, did I scare you? I didn’t mean to. It’s just that, your reaction…it’s so different” he took a few steps forward; worry was now evident in his face.”…they usually don’t give off the expression of pain…and sadness.” He said the last three words almost inaudibly, saying it carefully as if my life depended on it.“Ohhhh” was the only thing I managed to mouth. He shifted his weight and tilted his head once again. I couldn’t help but stare at him. He’s really beautiful just like that Taemin kid outside the door. I guess I was staring at him too intently for too long that I didn’t noticed that he was already standing in front of me.“What’s your name?” his voice was calm and curious.“Key”“Key?” his brows furrowed. He lifted his right hand and a crystal ball descended. He spun it a couple of times, I can’t clearly see but I was sure that on the surface of the glass were names and with each spin, it changes like you were flipping a notebook.“Real name please.” He said as he scanned the words on the crystal.“Kim Kibum.” He stopped scanning and spinning the crystal. His eyes were wide and his lips started curling up into a smile. The crystal started to float back to where it came from.“Really? So it’s you.” His voice was laced with amusement.“Me?”“Yup!” He said as he smiled beamingly. Me? What’s with me?He started to circle around me. Is he some sort of a security guard before? He then stops in front of me and inched closer. “I can’t believe this!” He said as he started to giggle.“Can’t believe what?” I tried to hide the confusion clouding up my mind.“Nothing. You’ll find out soon enough!” After clearing his throat he spoke again but now in a more serious and professional type.“I’m Luhan. Welcome to the realm of dreams!” He smiled so bright that I thought I would be blind already. Realm of what?! Now that’s very unlikely, it’s all black in here and it’s for dreams?!“Yes, it is the realm of dreams. I’d like to keep everything black. People who saw the real look of this place didn’t really enjoy it much, so I’m sticking with a solid color.” He explained to me as if he heard my thoughts.“Why? How did it look like?” I couldn’t help but ask. He raised an eyebrow at my question.“Well, you really wouldn’t want to know.” With that, I decided not to push it. I think it’s better to see black than whatever hell it looked like before.“So…Key, what can I do for you?” he rubbed his palms together. He sounded like a salesman who just found a new customer.“Uhm, they said if I go here…my wish would be…granted.” I said as I tugged on the hem of my shirt.“Ahhh, so they didn’t tell you much. Fine, I’ll tell you how it goes around here. It’s really quite simple.” Simple? From everything I’ve seen and heard from earlier today, I don’t think I can believe anymore when someone says simple.“Hmm, how do I explain this…So you see, people who are seeking goes to us. The first test was the door, since you passed that it means you’re qualified. We only allow people who are deserving enough to pass through that door. Then, they go to me. This is where bargains took place. If everything is settled, I will pass you on to the next stage, that’s the confirmation. Then you’ll be sent back.” He explained it to me like I’m some kind of a Kindergarten student.“So that’s it? Three stages all in all?”“If everything went well, then yes!” He said with a smile. If everything went well? Wait what? “What if everything didn’t go well?” I said with burning curiosity.“Well, you’ll be meeting a lot more people then.” He said it as if it wasn’t a big deal. My eyebrows furrowed. “Don’t worry, everyone here is friendly! Besides you don’t need to worry about that yet.” His voice was laced with comfort.He waited for me to respond. I really don’t know what to say that I just ended up nodding.“So…Key, are you ready to bargain?” He rubbed his palms together as he let out an angelic yet evil smirk. My mind knows what my heart screams,
No one knows how long I’ve waited for this.
What would it cost? What should I pay?
Would it all be worth it? Or should I just walk away? ---○A/N: Annyeong~! so here's another chapter, it's quite short..it kinda serves as an intro to Luhan. Yup, there would be some EXO members here. hihi. I do hope you like this one.
