Youre My Light (1/1)

Daehyun is a beautiful male, intelligent as well. His parents had treated him as if he was their precious treasure, keeping his home schooled and away from the world. At first, he believed that it was his parents' selfishness that he was kept inside all the time, but by the age of 7, he finally found out the truth."Daehyun isn't like Himchan. He's not a prodigy at anything!" he heard his mom's voice sounding from the kitchen."He's not as handsome as Himchan either. How does he expect to find someone who loves him? Honestly, isn't he just like there? I don't even see why we should take care of him," his father agreed, mumbling back.Daehyun had left his spot and waddled back into his bedroom. For the first time, he cried himself to sleep. He wasn't his parents' special boy, not at all. They were still comparing him to Himchan, his stupidly arrogant older brother. At the age of 10, he had earned himself a little brother, Junhong. His parents had ended up spoiling the baby boy, as well as having their attention on Himchan's needs. No glances were spared toward Daehyun, he could barely even get his parents' gaze even when he called them. It was always "Junhong needs his food," or "Himchan wants to buy new clothes." Sometimes, it was the occasional, "We're too tired, so no."Daehyun had grown up feeling unnecessary to the world. His needs weren't important. His private lessons started to fill his mind with insecure thoughts. His parents were too ashamed to show him in public, he had to stay cooped up at home while Himchan enjoyed the trip with his friend's from public school. He was too stupid to be in public school, he wouldn't manage by himself. He went by his own pace, which was probably too slow for his parents. These of course weren't true. But the consistent nagging of his mind is telling him so. And two years later, Daehyun is twelve and falls into minor depression due to the lack of attention, the lack of love.By now, age 14, Daehyun is used to the silence he gets while his brothers get showered with desserts and "Welcome home!" He learned to drown out the sounds of the happy chattering family with the help of music, his teacher had gave him an iPod for his birthday. He was the only one that remembered anyways. His family had given up hope for him, even if he was smarter than the other kids. Even if he was more well-mannered. He quickly found the reason for his parents' ignorance towards him.16, he was home alone and he decided to snoop around. He mindlessly opened drawers where he seemed fit, coming across a suspicious yellow envelope all by itself. He sneaked it into his room , since the letter had his name written on it with a thick black marker. When everyone's asleep, he stayed up with his bedroom light on. He read the content before he crumpled the paper into a ball and threw it towards the trashcan near his desk. It's August 5th when he realized that he's not his parents' real son. His name is not Kim Daehyun, it's Jung Daehyun and his family had died in a shooting.- - -The present Daehyun is now 21, still stuck at home as he had no proper education in the first place, not even given one tiny chance. Himchan had his own place, but he never missed stopping by to make fun of his "stupid" younger brother. Junhong is now 12, and even he knows that Daehyun must be avoided at all costs.Sometimes, he wonders what is the purpose of life? What wonders does it bring if all you live in is a secluded world of pain? If all you see is a happy family portrait that you're not a even a part of. He questions why he's still alive, and it is that very question that leads him to his answer.A week later, Daehyun realizes that his life has hit rock bottom, and there was no silver lining for him. He would never get help, he would never have his dreams achived. He wanted to be a singer, a far fetched dream for a nobody for him. He decides to end his life, finally taking the first steps out of his house, his safe haven and his hell. He walks a few blocks down before he stops, deciding to sit on a bus bench as he watches how the cars drive by, at how quick they really are. He wonders how long it will take or him to die if he decides to take those small steps, and walk across the street only to get hit by a car. Determining the speed and the type of cars that were usually seen, he determines that his chances of succession is most likely more than 70%.Before he can even stand up and strive towards his "goal," he hears a small mutter of, "Nice weather we're having today."Daehyun ignores the voice as he believes that it was not directed towards him. However, a gentle nudge on the side shows him that he's wrong and he finally looks up at the male. "I'm talking to you, you know that?" the male speaks as again, flashing one of the most breath-taking smiles that he has ever seen.Daehyun's breath is caught in his throat and he can barely breathe, because not only is this guy handsome, but he bothered to actually talk to him. "Oh," is all he manages to say and he starts to feel stupid. He had already blew off his first chance in a normal conversation. He hangs his head down, slightly ashamed as he believes that his real parents are probably ashamed by him too. A reassuring laugh and another couple of words is all it takes for Daehyun to mutter back replies, short but concise.November 14th is the day where Daehyun begins to grow confidence in himself. It's the day where he finally takes his first step into the outside world. And most importantly, it's the day where he meets Moon Jongup, the person who would be the most precious in his life, even if he doesn't know it just yet.- - -Jongup had somehow convinced Daehyun to come out everyday, and he would. He didn't notice that his family stole glances at him now, he didn't realize that going outside was alien enough to attract their attention. He reaches the same bus stop, plopping down as he waited for his company to arrive. Once he does, he's immediately pulled up by the younger male and into his embrace, so warm and fleeting that Daehyun couldn't believe it. Jongup reassures him that it's reality when he smiles that grin of his, the alive sparkle in his eyes that drew him towards the young male. That day, they go towards a close coffee shop, and Daehyun learns that Jongup is a college student, on his last year as of now as he planned to drop out of school soon. "School isn't my thing anyways," are the words that slip from his lips and the older can't help but feel a sting at those words. Daehyun had always longed for education, for something to make him worthy of attention and praise. And since Jongup had the chance, shouldn't he take it? Honestly, some people did take things for granted. He manages to convince Jongup to stay in school, however, only for another year. The younger had other plans, moving across the country with his dance crew and explore new places. He promises to bring his hyung along, and for some reason, the thought comforts him. Perhaps he really did have a place where he was welcomed to. Although the people there were unaware of his past, naive to his pain, he might have people to return to. That thought alone made his heart warm, even if it was for a split second. The older male sipped his coffee, placing the cup down before reaching over to hold the male's hand in his."Thank you," he murmured, earning a smile from the younger in response."No problem, anything for hyung."The most ironic thing to Daehyun was that they had barely known each other for two weeks, and yet it was as if they were childhood friends.Yet, that night, Daehyun comes home with a content feelings. And his heart might have been fluttering, he didn't know.- - -It's pretty soon, but it only takes one month for Daehyun to realize that Jongup is his light in the world. If not for him, Daehyun would have probably made the action to end his life weeks ago. He longs for the warm smile everyday, his desire growing more by each second that passes. It is mostly quiet when they're together, but it's comfortable, nothing off and that's the way he likes it. The younger is more like his safe haven, someone who was willing to listen to his problems, if he did tell him.Daehyun is stumbling out of his house once again, shoes barely placed on correctly as the heel is almost slipping off. His blue scarf is wrapped around his neck, hiding one half of his face from the cold of the winter breeze, not to mention that it would be snowing soon. He was wearing a simple black coat, hanging down until above his knees. He huffed as he trudged along the sidewalk, towards that cafe that they would always use to meet up. Jongup had told him yesterday that he had something important to share, and so being the kind hyung that he was, he decides to meet up with the younger, just to determine how important the matter truly was.He was there at their table, leaning against the window as his eyes were glancing at something outside. Without disturbing the male, he goes up to the counter to order his own drink, slipping into the seat across from the male afterwards. It stays like that for a couple of minutes before the younger of the two finally looks away from the window. The slight jump didn't escape from Daehyun's sight, and he couldn't help but feel a bit satisfied that he had startled the buff male."Yah, at least tell me that you're here," Jongup speaks after recovering from his momentary shock. The older just snickers, leaning back against his chair as he shakes his head once."I like surprising you, you seem vulnerable like that." he teases, scrunching his nose."Well, that's not nice of you hyung. And here I was, going to confide in you," he hears the younger mumble."But you can always confide in me," the older assures, taking another careful sip of his coffee."Mm, perhaps a bit later. But there's one question I want to ask you first."Noticing the hesitance in his voice, Daehyun's eyebrow cocks up. "Oh really? And what would that be?""How is your relationship with your family?"It is now his turn to hesitant, his body freezing up for a second before he releases a quiet sigh. He places the cup back down on the table, averting his eyes to the sight outside the window instead. "Today's a beautiful day, isn't it?" he comments."Don't try to stray off the topic Daehyun. Ever since we first talked, you never mentioned your family. I'm curious. Please?" Jongup pleads, keeping his eyes trained on the older male. The latter's lips forms a thin line before completely resting onto the seat, as if it was it's only pillar of physical support left. "My family, I'm not on good terms with them, per se." It was true either way. His foster family treated him as if he were a plague, and his real family, he never even had the chance to meet them. Well, he was young back then, and his memory isn't so great when the tragedy happened when he was five."Oh," was the only thing he hears in response from the male. For the first time ever since their meeting, they sat in an eerie silence.- - -After the events of that day, Daehyun is certain that Jongup is slowly drifting away from him, he could tell. Their time with each other would lessen as every day passed, and sometimes, he would even show up late. Daehyun was frightened. What was so important about family that Jongup would ditch him for it? Technically, he hadn't been left yet but he could tell. He felt it, the rift in their once solid bond. Something was tearing Jongup away from him, and he intended to find out what it was. However, it wasn't easy as the younger liked to avoid the topic of their conversation. It's been about five months since Daehyun has met Jongup, and in that short span of time, he had found security in the young dancer. He is the first to stay by his side, no matter what, even if their time was decreasing. He still felt hope, that perhaps one day, Jongup would finally realize that he wasn't spending as much time with his hyung as he should be doing.Daehyun understands that he was being selfish, that Jongup has a life that didn't include him. He just couldn't help it. He loves, no, craves for the younger's attention, and he couldn't figure out why. Perhaps it is because he was the first one to notice him, or because he is the first one to ever compliment him.Perhaps, it's because he was the only one who showed Daehyun affection.Yes, Jongup was the first person to ever give him a hug, to ever nudge his sides playfully, with no hint of violence. Of course, just because he wasn't recognized by his family doesn't mean that he was always ignored. Himchan was the only other person who gave him attention, a negative kind to say the least. Sometimes, he would come over with his group of friends and barge into his room, spewing all kind of nonsensical insults that Daehyun couldn't comprehend. Sometimes, they even throw punches and kicks at him. Not only does it hurt him on the outside, it ruins his mind mentally. It really did because Himchan used to be fond of him until he spoke out about being adopted. Was that a bad thing?Daehyun shakes the thought from his mind before he makes his way to the cafe again. Now, Jongup can only stay around for an hour or so, different from their usual four to six hours goofing around and wandering the city together. He wonders what leads to this change, because it's so subtle that even he doesn't notice unless he looks back on the past events. His thoughts and worries are all cleared away as he nears the cafe they always go to, it's like a second home to them in a way. As he makes his way to their table, he can't help but feel his insides twisting, as if signaling that something was going to happen. And he wasn't going to like it.He waits for two hours and there is still no sign of Jongup. By now, Daehyun is quickly losing hope and he doesn't have any pillar that is helping him up, minus the coffee that keeps him alert, just in case the younger decides to come in any time and surprise him. That doesn't happen however. Daehyun is basically kicked out of the shop as it closes. He had sat in that chair for the whole day, earning weird glances from the waiters all for nothing. Daehyun figures that today probably means something. To Daehyun, May 6th is the day where he loses all hope. He has absolutely nothing to lean on, and he can slowly tell that his whole world is crumbling down, away from his grasp. Jongup is, or was, his only support, and now that it vanished, he finds himself falling. Falling to the point where he finds life too unbearable to live anymore. People may call him crazy, tell him to move on, that Jongup was just another person in his life that would teach him a lesson before leaving. He doesn't believe all but the last statement, because now the younger has taught him that people in this world are deceiving, absolutely cannot be trusted. He won't admit it but he could also feel his heart shattering into tiny, fragile pieces.- - -No matter what Daehyun tells himself, he finds that he's always back at the cafe everyday. And everyday, there is always the same results. Jongup doesn't show up, never does and now Daehyun truly finds himself spiraling down into despair. However, in life, with downs you will always have the ups in life. Daehyun meets a man by accident, and this man also makes an impression on his life. His name is Bang Yongguk, and he is the next pillar in Daehyun's life because he slowly becomes Daehyun's best friend, his confident. It's only that and nothing more.Because on the first day, Daehyun knows that Yongguk is gay and is desperately in love with his "older brother," Himchan. It comes out unintentionally from the older's lips but Daehyun acknowledges everything. Yongguk knows he's wrong loving Himchan, because he knows the latter's personality, Daehyun is sure of that. What he's confused about is why he fell in love with him anyways, what did he see in Himchan that made him different from others? He finds himself spilling some of his secrets instead, strangely open to the stranger in front of him. He knows he should be more cautious, since he felt like he was treading through something delicate. Nothing of violent nature happens, and so, he loses track of time with Yongguk, who knows Daehyun's full story all in one day. The older has no idea why Daehyun had chosen him to confide in, but perhaps one reason was to see the true Himchan, and the other being that they were both helpless fools. The only difference is one is willing to accept, while the other was denying with their whole being. May 25th is a remarkable day for Daehyun, splendid when he looks back at it. When he had already lost all hope, what seemed like his everything, Yongguk appeared in his life as a helpful company. Maybe there really was a God, and the world wasn't as bad as it seems.- - -It's been two months since Jongup's last appearance, and even though he willed himself to move on, he wasn't ready to. He didn't like being clingy, but he couldn't let Jongup go so easily. He was the first to take notice of him, to make him actually feel loved in this world. It was hard to let go and forget someone that was once your everything. However, he wishes that he didn't remember Jongup. It would be less painful to see him waking through the door with his brother. It wouldn't hurt as much when he sees them kiss. He wouldn't have to look away when Jongup finally notices his presense, with quite wide eyes with what even seemed like a tint of guilt in them. Daehyun is just on the way to his kitchen, and Jongup being here was shocking really. However, being with his brother was a different story. It was a slap to the face.Tears were brimming his eyes by this point as he rushes into the kitchen anyways, trying to reassure himself that it was all an illusion, that it simply isn't real. However, a soft voice that whispers his name is enough to prove him wrong. He holds back his tears with his best of his abilities, listening to the meaningless lies and excuses that was spewing from the younger's mouth. If he had turned around, he would have noticed the sincere look on Jongup's face. If he had paid more attention, he would have noticed the shaking that lingered in his voice. Too blinded by anger and betrayal, his senses are blocked and the only words that manages to escape his lips are five words that stings Jongup's heart more than anything."I will never forgive you."Few hours passes and Daehyun can hear laughs and yells in Himchan's room. He sighs for the umpteen time that night, tears never stopping as they contued to roll down his cheeks. He wants nothing more than to run to his best friend, to wail and shout out his confined feelings but he can't. Yongguk will also experience the pain, and the last thing Daehyun wants is for anyone to experience pain because of him.July 7th is when Daehyun realizes that he is probably meant to be all alone in the world. It's also his first encounter with Jongup after two painful months, only to find out that he's been dating his brother. It doesn't take long for him to put the pieces together, yet the conclusion hurts. His next attempt of escape was just a few feet away, right across from his room. Daehyun lifelessly stands on his feet, dragging himself to the bathroom. It is also the day where Daehyun gives up on life, ruining his once flawless skin with ugly scars that matches those of his heart.Perhaps he keeps it a secret, or he simply didn't want to recognize it, but that day is also the day Jung Daehyun admits that he's hopelessly in love with Moon Jongup. Because he is his angel, the one who saved him from the darkness, his hero, his light. An image like this is not easy to throw away, and so he grasps onto the fleeting Jongup that he once knows. Because if he releases the image of his love, his world will fall into a pit of insanity with no way out.Because he simply believes that Jongup is his everything, and life cannot move on without him. Even if he manages his facade, he can't bring himself to hate the younger. Never.- - -It only takes three days for Yongguk to find the scars on his arm, even if he only cut his skin a couple times on that day. The older, being the caring person he was, lashes out at him quietly, just so they will not attract attention from bystanders. The moment the older finishes his speech, a couple of tears slip from Daehyun's eyes and he finds himself sobbing once again. Yongguk is very surprised by this action, Daehyun had never shown any type of emotion when they spent their time together. Heck, he was positive that the latter was emotionless. The younger of the two is pulled into a warm embrace, different feeling from Jongup's but it's comforting nonetheless, and so he leans into the body. He finally wails out loud, his bottled up emotions spilling out to his friend. Tears soak the shoulder of Yongguk's jacket but he could care less. It must be important, the matter that Daehyun is crying over. After what felt like hours, the sobs had been reduced to quiet sniffles, face still buried into the crook of his hyung's neck. He is ashamed, utterly embarrassed because he was caught off guard, the situation becoming overwhelming. He also lacks the confidence to speak of the situation he was stuck in, he felt like no one would be understand his pain. But he can't but wonder why he had fallen for Jongup? Why him and not somebody else? Why couldn't he fall for someone like Yongguk? As the older pesters for answers, all Daehyun can do is shake his head. He doesn't want to even speak the boy's name, and certainly not his brother's, because it would break Yongguk as well. He doesn't want his strong hyung to cry or show pain by his words, so he would harbor it all by himself. Even if that meant that he would inflict more injuries onto himself, because believing he could take all the pain wasn't enough. As if the world was against him, he feels a harsh tug on his wrists, slightly pulling him away from the comfort of Yongguk. He knows that touch, the soft yet blistered hands that wound around his wrist, tugging up the sleeves of his shirt. He didn't even realize that Jongup was here, and heard their conversation at that. It was a good thing that he kept silent then, or else he would have found out."Daehyun hyung..." He doesn't miss the disappointment in the tone, and all he wants to do is jump off a cliff somewhere and hide, or run away and never be found. He is forcefully pulled away, leaving the oldest behind as the younger is basically tugging him back home. No, not home at all, it back to his house. His eyes widen, desperately trying to tug his hand away, which is nearly impossible due to the death grip on his wrist."Jongup, please," he sighs, hoping that the male will understand him but he sees the younger shaking his head."No. If you won't tell me, then your family will know. They care for you Dae."Daehyun freezes at the statement, lips quivering because Jongup doesn't remember. He doesn't recall that months back, he had clearly stated that he wasn't on good terms with his family."But-"Before he even gets a chance to retort, the younger is cutting him off. "Are you going to tell me that you don't have a decent relationship with them? They told me that you're the one cutting them off."Daehyun is so shocked that Jongup is basically dragging him back towards his house. Since when exactly was he closed off? Since when was he the one that pushed his family away? Since when was he the one that was ignoring others?"Jongup. When were you ever the type to get involved into someone else's business?" he asks quietly, though he was sure the other could hear due to the thoughtful hum."I'm only doing this because I care Daehyun.""No, you don't care. It's so obvious. If you cared, you wouldn't have ditched me at the cafe-""I was with Himchan. Am I supposed to blow off a date with my boyfriend just for you?"Daehyun somehow finds the strength to pull his arm from Jongup's grip, his head hanging down as his bangs covered his eyes. He laughs without emotion, which scares the younger a bit. "If you truly cared, you would have left Himchan to be with me. If you did care, we wouldn't be in this mess right now. What right do you have, saying that you care when you disappeared from my life for two freaking months before coming back in the worst way possible! What makes you think that you care about me?!"The latter's jaw drops from the outburst, his lips moving a bit to speak but he could barely form words to retort. Daehyun snorts, finding the situation a bit pathetic."When you live life the way I do, when you been through what I have, then you can come back with the right of saying you care. Drop dead, Moon Jongup."He doesn't mean the words that come from his mouth, but he finally notices the pain that flashes through the younger's eyes. He coldly glares at the boy before walking away, a small huff sounding from his body.July 10th is the day where Daehyun decides that enough is enough, walking away from everything that mattered the most. It's the day where Jongup gets left behind instead, and is given time to reflect on his actions before their next encounter can happen.- - -It's been around three years now since Daehyun had thrown everything he was used to out of the door. At first, life was hard. He barely had any money, he couldn't get his job because he didn't even have a high school degree, and he was basically living on the streets. However, a nice man Youngjae had taken him in, nursed him back to health, cared for him, and much more than Daehyun can even list. Daehyun owes Youngjae his life, because starting over at the age of 22 wasn't easy. But thanks to Youngjae's deal, all he had to do was run a few errands and do chores, which was perfectly acceptable to him.But it's strange, this particular day. It's once again November 14th, and a strange feeling overcomes him. He's now sitting at a coffee shop, table two to be exact. Youngjae had pleaded him to take up this blind date, and would even go so far as to threaten him with the phrase, "You owe me so much, and yet you can't even do this for me?"Daehyun wants a clue about who he is, but Youngjae simply refuses, telling him his memory instead.Youngjae had just finished shopping for groceries, making his way back home before his eyes locked onto a male that looked quite familiar male. Blonde hair that stood out among those of the color black, fringe that swept above his eyes, as if he had intended to make it that way. He barely had any time to catch up with the male as the light for the crosswalk turned green. As the male walked, Youngjae rushed towards the blonde, tapping his shoulder once they successfully crossed to the other side."How's it going man? It's been a while," the brunette panted, having just dashed to catch up with the male. He had been quite a few yards away from the crossing area. The man just smiles warmly, shaking his head. "Nothing much, just... looking around." There was a pause between the two words but Youngjae decided not to press further, he probably wouldn't say anyways. "Mm, would you like to eat at my place? Someone just moved in with me, Daehyun. He doesn't seem friendly, but he's quite the nice guy. Subtly of course."There seemed to be a spark in the blonde's gaze now, an eyebrow cocking up in interest. "Oh really now? I'm afraid I'm busy, but I'd like to know more about this Daehyun. Have to make sure my friend is living with someone that isn't a nut job."Youngjae laughed, shaking his head. "There's no need, but I guess I could arrange a meeting."That is all Youngjae would tell him, which made him curious as to who his friend was. Certainly it wasn't that person. It just couldn't be. But fate loved messing with him, enough to the point that when he sees the face of the male coming through the door, he wants nothing more than to run and cower in a bathroom stall. The male's eyes locks on his, making his face pale as the person keeps approaching him, finally settling down in the seat across from him."It's been a while, Daehyun.""Yeah, I guess it has been, Yongguk."Yongguk's face shows anything but happiness, but he can tell with the small glint in his eyes that he is content on his lost friend's return."You know, Jongup feels guilty..."Daehyun takes in a small breath, about to respond when the male decides to speak up again."Jongup, his intention wasn't to make you upset and leave. He wasn't dating your brother technically speaking, Himchan was toying with him as usual and he knew it from the start. Yet, he let Himchan mess with him this whole time. Don't you wonder why?"Daehyun is left speechless, lips pressed together to form a thoughtful line before he abruptly stands up, leaving behind his cup of coffee.Yongguk feels his lips tugging upwards, chuckling to himself as he sat there, finishing the rest of his coffee. He takes the time to admire the ring on his finger. He had been together with Himchan for about two years, Jongup breaking up with Himchan after Daehyun left. It was difficult to trust the younger at first, but it grew with everyday that passes on. Hopefully, Daehyun will also use time as a gift to heal, to renew old bonds and create better ones.- - -Jongup sighs, head lolling back against the park bench as he closes his eyes. He is dead tired, confused. He has used up the three years absence to reflect upon his actions, to realize his mistakes. But it is far too late to change it now.If he had been honest to himself, he would have admitted that he loved Daehyun ever since the first meeting. By appearance, he was already a beautiful creature, and his awkwardness made him somehow even more adorable. He couldn't lie that he was shocked, knowing Himchan, the most popular male in his college, was Daehyun's brother. When he heard of Daehyun's past, he was frightened. Would he also be ignored? Thrown away? Was Daehyun worth all the trouble? He should have listened to his heart, telling him yes.Instead, he followed his mind and ended up with Himchan somehow. Now that he looks back on it, he regrets everything, even talking to Daehyun.Soon, he finds hands placing themselves on his eyes, causing his eyebrows to furrow as he tries his best to tug at the hands. The owner doesn't bulge, causing a frown to play on his face."You're an idiot. A huge one, you know that?" All it takes is one line spoken from the angelic voice he misses so much for him to jump onto his feet, spinning around quickly to face the male."D-Daehyun," he stammers sheepishly, glancing down as he had no right to talk to his hyung. After all the horrible things. He was aware that he is the cause of Daehyun's pain after he left, and he should never be forgiven for it.Opposite of what he would expect, he felt a body bumping into his, arms wrapped around his mid-back in a somewhat tight hold. "Don't leave me again," is all that Daehyun needs to murmur before Jongup's arms are wrapped around his waist as well, holding him close."I won't, I promise. I'm sorry for making you go through that, I'm pretty horrible, aren't I?" he asks a question that he already knows the answer to."You are, but I love you." The older finally admits his feelings, nuzzling into the latter's neck."I love you too Dae," Jongup whispers into his ear, pecking his cheek before pulling away to peck his lips.Something that was hidden from Jongup this whole time was that he was planning to take his own life once more. Sure, living with Youngjae had it's perks and fun, but it wasn't the same without Jongup. Jongup was irreplaceable, a necessity that he couldn't live without. He would vanish without the latter by his side. Life held no meanings, even if he had Youngjae and Yongguk, because Jongup will always and forever be his everything. Without him, he would fall into the dark abyss, wandering the streets with a lifeless expression. He figured it might be better if he was dead. Life didn't mean much without Jongup, and it was stupid of him to leave that day but he wouldn't have realized many things from the time he spent away from the younger. He only wants Jongup's attention and love, no one else matters. He stuffs his free hand into his pocket, the other being tugged by Jongup as he led them to his house, or Daehyun's new home. He manages to crumple up the note in his pocket, slyly dropping it in the trashcan of the park that they so happen to pass by.He has to thank Yongguk for giving him this chance, this once-in-a-lifetime moment. For saving his life and for bringing back his love. After many years, it's once again November 14th. Daehyun has finally found his light, and he intends to keep it that way.- - -A/N : Please note that this is mainly in Daehyun's 3rd POV, that's why I barely mentioned other's opinions or feeling. This is complete crack angst whatever slice of life? that I came up with for Annie's birthday, and I'm sorry if it's not good.
