(Filler Chapter) (1/1)

(Two weeks before first acapella competition)  Jennie POV As the darkness overtakes the gloomy sky that sunday night, Jennie lays on her messy bed as she thinks to herself:  Damn it. I can’t stop thinking about the snapchat stories Jisoo showed me this weekend. All I know is that they’re good, I mean really good. But I could never tell anyone I think that, right? I mean queens high school is good but they always get second place when competing with us. But those two new girls could make the competition… a little more.. complicated. Ahh.. what to do Jennie what to do. Ah.. I need to calm myself down. I’m gonna go out and try and dance it off. yeah, that's what i’ll do.  Jennie quickly pushes herself out of her bed, grabs her phone, puts on some sweats and a black hat. She grips the stair railing and trails down to the first floor of her house, lastly she grabs a water bottle and leads herself out into her garage. She sighs in fear of thought of losing the competition to two newbies. She shakes off her nervousness and puffs up her chest as the song begins. Needed Me - Rihannawww.youtube.com/watch?v=gTsMNNIrMNY Jennie catches her breath, wipes the sweat off her forehead, and shifts her gaze at herself in the mirror. She rushes back up into her room, grabs her laptop and starts creating new sheet music for the group..  -------Monday nights acapella practice. Jennie enters the practice room with a different demeanor than usual, students start to notice and ask:Hey, Jennie.. Um sorry to ask.. but did you see the snapchat video of queens a cappella group?Jennie slowly sets her bag down, turns her head and stares fiercely into the other students eyes and responds: Yes. I did. What about them? Jisoo quickly runs over and says: Um Jennie. Is everything okay?Jennie intentionally avoids Jisoo’s eye contact and hums: mhm, yeah everything great Jisoo why? Jisoo: You’re kinda.. on edge haha..Jennie dismisses Jisoo’s comment and begins to speak to the rest of the group: Everyone listen up. I know the competition is in two weeks, but last night I changed my mind. We’re saving the piece we’ve been practicing and learning a new one. We’ll be practicing every night this week from 4-7pm. If you can’t make all of the practices, you’ll sit this opening competition out. Okay? Everyone was undeniably reluctant to move, even though their practice schedule was about to double, no one had the guts to even groan. Jennie happily stood in silence, and began to teach the new vocal arrangements and choreography. One student hesitantly decides to speak up and asks: Um.. Jennie? This song is kind of.. slow..er compared to the songs we normally dance to.. um Do you think it’ll be oka-Jennie interjects and glares at the student: I know what I’m doing. Okay?Jisoo was about to speak up to calm Jennie down, but she knew she didn’t want to get glared at with that awfully terrifying stare.  As the days go on, Jennie’s previous nervousness was starting to settle down more and more each day. While the group started to fully pick up on their harmonies and got more comfortable with the choreography, Jennie knew. She knew she created something unexpectedly.. Amazing.  Normally at a cappella competitions, the Royals were known for bringing such intense energy with upbeat, swag induced songs. But instead, Jennie had a new plan.
