The first day of a new term was always rough for Minseok, especially since it typically started with Jongdae jumping on him in order to wake him up.        “Wake up sleepy head. Joonmyun will be here soon and I want you to eat before you leave,” Jongdae said as he slid off the bed and opened the window to drown the room in light.        Groaning, Minseok set up and stared at his little brother. “When will you realize the beauty of sleeping in? You have got to stop waking up early just to make sure I get ready for the first day of class.”        Jongdae grinned at Minseok. “I don’t mind. It’s the least I can do to make sure my favorite big brother’s day starts right.” With that he left the room to allow Minseok to get dressed in peace.Pulling clothes out of his closet, Minseok heard the sound of a table being set from the kitchen. Honestly, for a little brother Jongdae took care of him more than he thought was normal. Shouldn’t he be worrying about his studies or girls or something? Or at least let me take care of you, Minseok thought as he finished getting dressed.Walking into the kitchen, Minseok could see that Jongdae had once again gone all out for breakfast. “Really, I don’t understand why you do this every year. Do you realize you put more effort into this day than my birthday?” Minseok shook his head as he sat down across from his brother and started eating.Jongdae looked at his brother for a moment before sighing. “I know how hard you work in preparation for a better future for us so I figure the least I can do is make sure the little things are taken care of.”Before Minseok could tell him that he didn’t want him to worry about anything Joonmyun opened the front door. “Hurry up, we got to get to class a little early if we want good seats,” is all he yelled before closing the door again. Laughing at his friend’s impatience, Minseok put his dishes in the sink and headed out the door. He found Joonmyun waiting by the bike rack next to his apartment building, tapping his foot to whatever song he was humming.“Ah, there you are. You ready to start the first day of the term with a refreshing bike ride?”“We don’t ride bikes because it’s refreshing. Be honest, we ride bikes because we don’t have cars. Also, what is it with everyone trying to make today special? It’s just a school day,” Minseok huffed as he unchained his bike.“My dear friend, it is not just another day. It is the first day of a new term. A time for new beginnings, fresh starts and new opportunities. Who knows what could happen today?”Minseok just shook his head as he started riding to school. He hoped that nothing special would happen today. He only had two years of university left and he didn’t want to get off track. The first class of the day went by much as Minseok thought it would. The professor handed out the syllabus and talked about how his class would be demanding but nothing to worry about if they did all the work. Minseok listened attentively even though he knew he would do fine without paying attention. His second class proceeded much the same way except for the late arrival of a couple students. About 20 minutes into class the back door burst open and three students walked in. Well, they sauntered more than walked. Minseok was not surprised to see Luhan and a couple of his basketball buddies walk in like they owned the place. Everyone at school knew who Luhan was and he liked it that way. So it was his habit to make grand entrances and show off. As the entire class stopped to watch Luhan and his friends find seats, Minseok prayed this wouldn’t become a regular occurrence in this class. He didn’t really care what Luhan did, assuming he was there just to please his p
