(Yongguk) Flashback (1/1)

"You called sir?" Yongguk stood before Himchan, his commanding officer. Great in political situations but not so well on the field. He respected Himchan or else he would have taken that position but Yongguk was not meant for sitting behind a desk. Himchan shows him a picture smiling and Yongguk thought he saw feathers around his mouth. The picture was of the vampire most everyone knew. Jung Ji-Hoon. Or Rain as he'd taken to being called of late. A rogue. An enemy."We found him. Our little pet told us that Rain fathered another boy. Slightly different circumstances but the same basically. ...another abomination.""Do you have a name?""He will not contact him. However we have set up a trap. This envelope has one of the human's new fangled technology toy things. It's suppose to tell us where he goes.""Will a human be operating it?""Naturally. I believe that stuff is below us. We are immortals. By the time we learn this, the human's will invent some other thing better. Best leave them to their complex toys.""Do I have anything to go on to find this thing?""We spotted several mongrels at this cafe. Merely wait it out then you can grab him. We need him alive to drag Rain from the shadows."Yongguk nods before leaving the room with the envelope in hand. He just had to wait it out at the café. That wouldn't be too hard. He didn't burn in sunlight. Yongguk's strength, speed and all other abilities were chopped in half or more. In essence, Yongguk in the sunlight was a slightly above average pale human.   Yongguk hadn't seen anyone matching Rain's likeness in the few days he'd been there. A few of the baristas were a tad flirty. Of course! Had to be a predominantly gay run place. Yongguk glares at the table top of his chosen seat. He internally laments over his fate while keeping an ear out. It only took a couple more days for someone close enough to Rain's likeness came in the cafe. Yongguk listened intently trying to gather more information. It took far too long for Yongguk's liking for him to fully get any useful information. He did manage to thwart several attempts by the creature to learn about Rain. It seemed like he just never gave up! What is this thing? Why won't it quit!? The more it fought to get knowledge on Rain the more annoyed Yongguk got.The incident at the antique shop had not been a shining moment for him. That box had valuable clues in it. He hadn't expected for the woman to just hand it over to him! She'd refused Yongguk so many times. Hurting that human boy hadn't made him feel any better. Although that creature looking so distraught did make him feel slightly better about it.    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(AN) Next chapter is a set up for what I call reader's choice.
